Kenyans will soon have more confidence when buying property, as the Association of Real Estate Stakeholders (RESA) announced plans to issue certificates to all genuine land-selling companies in Kenya.
This unprecedented move will see over 200 companies receiving certificates on Thursday 18, July, 2024.
“Kenyans will never be conned again. We urge Kenyans to purchase land only from certified companies. We are committed to cleansing the entire real estate industry in Kenya,” said RESA chairman Kinyua Wairatu.
Wairatu explained that all companies receiving certificates have undergone thorough vetting and have been approved.
“We have heard the complaints from Kenyans, and it is time to act. The real estate sector in Kenya is undergoing a significant paradigm shift,” he said.
Since the association’s inception, Wairatu has led a vigorous campaign encouraging Kenyans to buy from reputable companies.
He has also overseen the launch of a website that provides details of all certified land-selling companies in Kenya https://Www.realtorssolutions.org
The association now operates a fully functional office.
“I took over at a time when no one wanted to discuss real estate. Today, controversies have diminished, and I intend to continue implementing reforms. No Kenyan will ever again lose their hard-earned money to fraudsters,” he stated.
