A controversial Mombasa based lawyer risks losing her license after she was charged over theft from unsuspecting clients.
The lawyer Sheila Nkatha Muthee is known for her pride and has faced various accusations of extortion and issuance of fake cheque. She is a member of New Life Prayer Centre owned by televangelist Pastor Ezekiel Odero.
She is currently battling a case involving a disputed house situated along Links road near premier hospital.
Ms Muthee was arraigned before Mombasa senior resident magistrate Rita Orare and pleaded not guilty to charges of stealing and issuance of a bad cheque.

The court heard that the flamboyant lawyer stole money which was part of a Shs 52,500,000 proceeds realized from the sale of property of Crispy Ltd (complainant) which she had received by her firm on account of the crispy Ltd.
The offence was committed on diverse dates between February 17,2024 and July 23rd 2024 at Mvita Subcounty within the republic of Kenya.
Muthee was additionally slapped with ten counts of issuing a bad cheque contrary to section 316 A (1) of the penal code.
The court heard that Muthee issued the first cheque on July 18 2024 being a partner manager of the Muthee and partners company issued co-operative Bank cheque of kshs900,000 to the account of Osman Mohamud Mohamed knowing that the said Account had insufficient funds.

Shockingly her associate in the law firm Sonia went missing and she can’t be traced, it is also evident that she was only represented by an intern from the law firm identified as Elijah Gathu, what is not understood is how she relates with other senior lawyers.

She is said to be arrogant and knows it all since she has everyone in her pocket including judges, police land cartels among others.
Ms Muthee is also accused of fraudulently acquiring wealthy in unknown manner, some of the properties in our possession includes those at Kikambala (Kilifi), Diani (Kwale), Nyali in Mombasa among other areas.
