A man previously linked to the murder of a middle aged man in a love triangle fallout has been linked to a vicious drug syndicate in the country.
Elias Kariuki Kavwangi who was linked to aiding the murder of Osca Owino-formerly a boyfriend to former Absa bank employee Phenny Kisasati’s in a key player in the drug cartel that also involves senior peoplein the country.
He leaves in Shanzu area at Tsavo Street Estate. The place where dirty games are played.
The drug syndicate has strong regional connections in East Africa but in the midst of it all lies dangerous love triangle stories that can claim lives anytime.
In August last year, it was established that Elias assisted in the murder of Osca Owino who has been Phenny Kisasati’s lover for over two years.
His role in the murder involved aiding the murder suspects since he had an affair with some of the Absa staff and also with Phenny. He wanted to be the main and only lover boy in the game.
His interest at Absa Bank revolved around targeting clients for manipulation with the aid of rogue staff who made millions through sharing of personal information to third parties.
This came to fore when it was established that Pheny Kisasati who is about 40 years old was detained over the death of his slain just a few months after she was sacked from work at ABSA bank Nkurumah Road branch.
She was sacked for leaking information belonging to several business people including Zachary’s estranged wife.
But links to a man identified as Zachary would later reveal possible engagement of him in the death of Osca Owino who was Phenny’s lover for over two years.
It is not clear how far investigations into circumstances under which Phenny’s boyfriend Osca Owino died after a night of merry-making.The lady told police that the two had attended a party at Masai Beach Hotel where they took drinks and partied until late hours.
The report, booked under OB number 02/ 14/08/23 at Nyali police station, further indicates that the suspect excused herself and went to bed leaving the deceased on the balcony where he continued to drink alcohol.
Elias cons woman
Things fell apart for Elias and his love escapades when a woman accused him of faking love to con her, a habit he has developed and mastered to date.
In one instance, Elias faked a medical emergency to solicit money from her. On November 22, he reportedly told her he was hospitalized, but she later discovered he was in Matinyani, Kitui. She further accused him of driving a red Mitsubishi G-Wagon (KBJ 977Y) stocked with alcohol and cigarettes, painting a picture of an extravagant yet reckless lifestyle.
He took advantage of the ‘love’ to sometimes subject the woman to psychological distress, showing her explicit content involving other women and boasting about his exploits. She also claimed he frequented male-dominated dens and used intimidation tactics, including showing off a firearm.
The woman has substantial evidence, including WhatsApp messages, bank transactions, and other documents, to support her claims. She is now demanding that Kavwangi return the money she alleges he swindled from her and others.
Kavwangi was later on December 23, spotted at Syokimau at around 9pm with some ladies possibly going to a drinking spree. The 55-year-old from Gacheche Sub-Location in Embu East, Runyenjes Division, Kagaari Location with identification number 10894769 is said to have been engaged in several fights especially at the night clubs.
Drug trafficking
Elias is said to have changed tact and is now fully focusing on drug trafficking after his ordeals with Absa Bank staff came to an end. This is because Absa Bank is currently dealing with numerous data breach.
He is now being used by cartels in the dark industry to identify new markets and possible clients who have good money.
