During the tour, Ouma, popularly known as ‘Chair’ clearly dazzled the crowds indicating that he commands a large support on the ground.

Ouma won the 2010 the Kariobangi North MCA seat in a by election and won the ODM nominations in 2017. However, despite Ouma being declared the winner at the returning center, the party went ahead and awarded the certificate to a different candidate who lost starting the losing streak that ODM has been having since then. The Kariobangi North ward had been an ODM stronghold and many feel Ouma is the right candidate to return the seat back to ODM for the two remaining years and ahead in the 2027 general elections.

Before Ouma threw his hat in the ring declaring interest to contest on an ODM ticket, the other ODM aspirants had not embraced the spirit of the party. Ouma has made ODM the talk of the town and all indications currently are that Ouma is finally the candidate who will help the ODM party reclaim the seat.
