Josephine Kithi has today been elected the chairperson of the Kenya National Secretaries Association Nairobi County (KENASA).
Josephine who is also the current CEO for Ward Development Funds will have the mandate to coordinate and represent the secretaries in Nairobi nationally.
“My responsibilities include linking the secretaries between the county and national government. I will also ensure discipline amongst my colleagues,” she said.
Mary Ogutu who contested for the position was second and took the Deputy Chairperson seat.
The new officials will hold the office for three years.
Rodah Ayugi was elected treasurer while Patricia Ng’ang’a took the secretary general position.
The Kenya National Secretaries Association (KENASA) is a professional association for secretaries in Kenya.
The association provides a forum for the secretarial professionals to interact and deliberate on emerging issues affecting the secretarial profession in regard to the standards, ethics and professionalism.
The association draws its membership from both public and private sectors.
Its objective is mainly to promote the profile of the secretaries through provision of information, education and training and to set standards of excellence in service delivery to be recognized by all stakeholders.
