The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) now wants Deputy President William Ruto to assure the country that he will concede defeat if Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga is declared winner of next year’s presidential poll.
ODM Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna said that the DP and his allies are sensing defeat, and have started to complain that Cabinet Secretaries are supporting Raila Odinga.
Sifuna further says the uproar from Ruto’s camp shows that they ‘are preparing themselves to reject the results of 2022 elections.’
“I am concerned. And I want Deputy President William Ruto to assure the country that he will accept the results of the elections of August 2022.” Sifuna said during a meeting with a section of leaders from the Lower Eastern region who had paid a courtesy visit to the party today.
