African Women Leaders Network (AWLN) -Kenya Chapter, Women Mediation Network Kenya, Democracy Trust Fund and Echo Network show support and good will to the President Elect Dr William Samoei Ruto whose victory was confirmed by the Supreme Court on Monday.

They believe Ruto will embrace all Kenyans and unite our nation so that together, we can tackle the myriad challenges affecting our nation.

Led by their chairperson Dr. Jane Riria they urged Ruto to prioritize women in his government.

“We appreciate the call for reconciliation that you made to other 2022 Presidential contenders and all Kenyans in General irrespective of their political persuasions. Indeed, this is the only way to get
the Country back on track,” they said.

“We applaud the message of hope and reconciliation by our 4th President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta in which he committed to hand over power to President-Elect and ensure a smooth transition. We appreciate the stately leadership that Uhuru supported by our First Lady Margaret Kenyatta has provided for the last Ten Years and especially your contribution to supporting the cause for girls and women (Male Gender Champion) and promoting the peace agenda not only in Kenya but being a
beacon of peace in our region. The women of Kenya owe you a great debt of gratitude. We urge the President-Elect Dr. William Ruto to be the 2nd President to be a Male Gender Champion,” she further stated.
