Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League sides Kenya Police and Posta Rangers both comfortably sailed through the Mozzart Bet Cup preliminary clashes to progress into the Round of 32 actions as the 2024 Mozzart Bet Cup kicked off today.

Posta Rangers were first to seal victory when they beat Transnzoia’s Wisdom Soccer Academy 2-0 in a match played at Ndura Sports Complex in Kitale before Kenya Police raided Vegpro in Naivasha emerging victorious in a similar score line, Saturday.

Posta Rangers, currently sitting fourth in the FKF Premier League standings had an easy day in office as striker Brian Marita struck twice in the 57th minute and 74th minutes.

In the second match of the day, Kenya Police overcame the Naivasha based National Super Leagueside VegPro 2-0 courtesy of goals from ex Gor Mahia stars Tito Okello and Samuel Onyango.

Police scored in similar fashion as Okello struck in the fist minute of play before Onyango added the second goal in the 46th minute of play, just seconds after the second half had kicked off to ensure that the policemen comfortably secured their victory.

In Sunday Mozzart Bet Cup fixtures set to be played tomorrow, Sunday, January 28, 2024, FKF regional side Eldoro Sports Club will play against Mombasa Stars at Wundanyi Stadium while away in Nyeri, Marafiki is poised to meet FKF PL side FC Talanta as Al Azizia entertain Luanda Villa at Kinoru Stadium in Meru. The final fixture of the preliminary round unfolds at Sudi Stadium, featuring regional side, Bungoma Stars playing against FKF Premier League side Bandari.

The victors of these preliminary clashes will progress to the next level, where the Round of 32 action is slated to unfold from Saturday, February 24, to Sunday, February 25, 2024.

Tomorrow, the match between Al Azizia against Luanda Villa at Kinoru Stadium in Meru is lined up to be streamed live on Mozzartbet cup and Football Kenya Federation Facebook and Youtube platforms.
