The world vision Kenya has today embarked on a mission to achieve one of its set goals,which is to improve the nutritional status of vulnerable children in Kenya.Through a campaign dubbed “ENOUGH” it aims to ensure that children have access to nutritious food for their well being and development.Statistics show that nearly 900000 Kenyan children aged 6 to 59 months need assistance with acute malnutrition and food security,this occurs in arid counties due to multiple failed seasons and inadequate child feeding practices.
The global hunger index 2023 indicated a serious level of hunger and it ranked Kenya 90 th out of 121 countries with a score card of 22.0.Speaking during the campaign launch Her Excellency the First lady of the Republic of Kenya Rachael Ruto EGH lauded the world vision for the initiative and commended them for advocating for enough nutritious food for every child at home and in school through sustainable sourcing.
