Fresh constituency-level opinion polling by Microtrak is beginning to reveal the early political mood across Nandi County, with several familiar political figures emerging as frontrunners in the race for Member of National Assembly seats ahead of the 2027 General Election.

The polls, conducted across multiple constituencies in the county, suggest that incumbency influence, grassroots mobilization, local visibility, and community engagement are already shaping voter preferences nearly two years before the next national vote.

Emgwen Constituency: Jose Lelmenget Takes Early Lead

In Emgwen Constituency, Jose Lelmenget emerged as the leading preferred candidate with 38 percent support. He was followed by Zipporah Kering at 26 percent, while Dr. Tecla Tum secured 17 percent.

Wilson Sang polled 11 percent, while Daniel Serem closed the list with 8 percent support.

The results indicate a potentially competitive race, particularly among the top three contenders, as political camps begin strengthening their grassroots structures across the constituency.

Nandi Hills: Elijah Sawe Dominates Early Numbers

Nandi Hills Constituency showed one of the clearest leads in the poll, with Elijah Sawe commanding 43 percent support.

Felix Tanui followed with 25 percent, while Kibet Kisorio received 13 percent. Nicholas Chepkulei polled 10 percent, Benard Kitur received 5 percent, and Robert Chepkwony garnered 4 percent.

Political observers note that early dominance in constituency polling often reflects strong local networks, consistent voter engagement, and strategic visibility within community development discussions.

Chesumei Constituency: Paul Biego Ahead

In Chesumei Constituency, Paul Biego emerged as the frontrunner with 36 percent support.

Wilson Kogo followed at 23 percent, while Eric Korir received 15 percent. Mark Kemboi polled 11 percent, Dr. Linus Cheruiyot secured 9 percent, and Simon Bor received 6 percent.

The constituency appears headed for an active political contest, with several candidates maintaining visible support bases that could reshape dynamics as campaigns intensify.

Aldai Constituency: Cornelly Serem Holds Strong Position

Aldai Constituency polling placed Cornelly Serem in a commanding lead with 42.9 percent support.

Marianne Kitany followed with 25 percent, while Vincent K Titi secured 14.1 percent. Stephen Sang polled 10 percent and Pasaka Kiboi received 9 percent.

The numbers point to a race likely to attract heightened political attention in the coming months, particularly as aspirants begin consolidating alliances and local influence networks.

Mosop Constituency: Vincent Tuwei Emerges Frontrunner

In Mosop Constituency, Vincent Tuwei led the field with 46 percent support — the highest margin recorded among the highlighted constituencies.

Abraham Kirwa followed with 28 percent, while Dr. David Tarus polled 11 percent. Elias Busienei received 9 percent, with Ben Ben and Betwel Kimutai each receiving 3 percent support.

The results suggest a strong early advantage for Tuwei, although analysts caution that political momentum can shift significantly as the election cycle progresses.

In Tinderet constituency Peter Leley has taken the lead with 41% followed closely by Jonah Biwott at 25% and Dominic Kipyegon at 19.5%.

In the senatorial race Samson Cherargei leads with 40.3%while his competitors Alexander Kosgey and Walter Kosgey are behind with 31% and 12% respectively.

In the county women rep position Ruth Bungei leads with 26% while Clara Melly and Joylline Jepleting follow closely with 18% and 16.3% respectively.

Allan Kosgey has taken the lead in the gubernatorial race with 36% while Cynthia Muge and Cleophas Lagat lag behind with 27.1% and 14% respectively.
