HUNDREDS of Nyamira County residents have hailed President Uhuru Kenyarta’s Jubilee Party
for awarding the position of Deputy Party Leader to Hon.Jimmy Nuru Angwenyi.
Jubilee party supporters from Nyamira County thronged into the Township Ward streets to Jubilate Hon.Angwenyi’s appointment saying it was long overdue.
“Our son Hon. Angwenyi deserved the position. He has fought for it. He is an honest and straight forward leader whose record of performance in the August House is admirable”., said Mama Cicilia Tuti from township Ward,west Mugirango Constituency..
Sitting in Nairobi, Jubilee party National Delegates confence, unanimoursily endosed the no nonsense Kitutu Chache North MP Hon.Jimmy Angwenyi as the party’s most preferred second in command, a position that was previously held by Deputy President Dr. William Ruto who has since decumped to join the little known United Democratic Alliance Party (UDA).
In Nyamira County, Jubilee party enjoys massive support with three sitting Members of Parliament elected under the said political fold.
Women Representative Hon.Jerusha Momanyi, Hon.Shadrack Mose (Kitutu Masaba) and North Mugirango MP Hon.Joash Nyamoko alongside several other MCA’s both elected and nominated under Jubilee Party Ticket
Currently,Nyamira has Hon.Dr.Mwancha Okioma eying the gubernatorial seat on a Jubiiee Party ticket.
Dr.Okioma was the second runners-up in the 2017 gubernatorial elections
Speaking in Nyamira Town,Mr..Javis Agwata who hails from Bogichora Ward of West Mugirango constituents equally thanked President Kenyatta’s Jubilee party NDC for having firm faith on the Gusii sons.
“We are behind the president’s party move. We thank God and congratulate Hon.Agwenyi for his new appointment. He is indeed capable and can help move our Jubilee Party aspirations into the next developmental level”.
Javis who is a staunch supporter of Jubilee candidates Hon.Dr. Okioma and the County Women Representative Hon.Jerusha Momanyi said, most Nyamira Constituents are firm supporters of the Jubilee party and that, voters will vote them in come voting period, August 2022.
“We glorify God for Hon.Angwenyi’s new position of which is indeed ours as the entire Omogusii community.
Angwenyi has won that position solely because of his development track record and the loyalty to the party heirachy. We urge Hon.Okioma and Hon Jerusha to head and steer our Jubilee party to greater heights of development in Nyamira County.”
Statistics indicates Jubilee party will sweep most seats in Nyamira including the Gubarnatorial seat currently held by Amos Nyaribo whose records are wanting for the last ten years of service, Nyamira residents have nothing to cerebrate for the last ten years of Odm leadership,we lost both the fertilizer and seeds”Emiaka ikomi nigo twasiria obwoyo nembusuro” lamented one resident Mr.Kefa Tariani who hails from Nyamusi Division.
The Nyamira residents promised to deliver over 97% votes of the Nyamira’s votes to the Jubilee candidates and Raila Odinga as the next president.
