IF General Elections were held today, the former Kitutu Masaba MP Hon.Dr.Mwancha Okioma could have a clean and straight win in the Nyamira County gubernatorial race ahead of his serious challengers.
A professional survey done by reputable infotrak and Nis companies indicates that, Dr.Okioma is the most preferred candidate to take on the County’s coveted seat with ease as constituents tend to trust him more than his could-be gubernatorial competitors.
A scientific survey conducted in the 20 wards in the month of April,May and June 2022, Dr.Mwancha Okioma scored a whooping 38.5 per cent of the total votes , twice the score gannered by the incumbent Governor H.E Hon. Amos Kimwomi Nyaribo who had a paltry 19.3 %
Dr.Okioma who has been working as Executive Chairman Commodity Fund of Kenya under president Uhuru’s ministry if Agriculture was overwhelmingly voted in by the Kenyan farmers and jobless youths who see him as mature,focused and result oriented have performed well as MP Kitutu Masaba where he left a legacy that stands today.
He has been greatly assisting Nyamira farmers by fighting for the Tea and Coffee reforms using his position as chair to also extend soft loans to all farmers so as to better their farm outputs using approved technology.
The survey further exposes the current Borabu MP Hon.Ben Momanyi and the 2017 Nyamira Gubernatorial race first runners-up Hon.Walter Nyambati as weak,hooliganism,propagandist and unreliable candidates with questionable leadership credential coupled with nil records on matters development,corruption and nepotism
If elections were held today, Hon.Ben clff Momanyi and Hon.Nyambati Osebe could each score 6.0 % and 5.0% respectively.
Other gubernatorial competitors Hon Timothy Bosire could settle for a 4.5%, Hon Kiangoi could get 4.2% with the recent entrant into the Nyamira gubernatorial race Dr.Gedeon Moseti scoring 2% of the total votes.
The survey whose number of random participants were 200 per wards and totaling to 4000 for the whole county has left doubting Thomas tongues wagging following Dr.Okioma’s early lead.
Dr.Okioma’s success is equally stamped by constituents following his bold step to name his running-mate by the name Hon.Dr Abuga,Amicro Biology scientist & scholar from the expansive Bogichora clan of West Mugirango constituency.
While commenting on the released survey, a voter who seeked nonimity said, “We are fully behind Dr.Okioma and Dr.Abuga. The two leaders are sober and result oriented on matters development.
Other candidates who featured in the survey with less meaning included Hon Marwanga etc who scored 1% each.
We also had another online voting where voters participated and the results were almost similar with error margin of 1.4.%
Most participants were farmers who desire to have a leader who will see their activities earn them better and create more employment to their sons and daughters
The findings reveal that, the youths want a leader who will create more employment opportunities to cater for their daily needs since, majority of them have no work and are depending on gambling to earn a living.
