Kawasaki Sports Club will be a fans favourite when they play in-front of home fans at Police Sacco Stadium in the Sakaja Super Cup grand finals following their dramatic 1-0 victory over Kibagare Slums in the Nairobi West regional finals played at the ASK Jamuhuri Show grounds.

Kawasaki came into the match charged for victory making clear their intentions in the opening minutes of the match when Albert Sundays shot was stopped by Kibagare keeper George Njuguna in the 6th minute.

Stanley Onyango of Kibagare Slums hit the top bar in the 17th minute in a deadly attack as both teams played all out keeping both shot stoppers busy in the first half to head into the break in a nil nil draw.

Victor Madegwa made the difference when he unleashed a thunderbolt after finding a one on one opportunity with the goal keeper to score the only goal of the match sending the hundreds of travelling fans into frenzy.

Kawasaki will play against the Nairobi East winner between Githurai All Stars and Victors Faith FC in the finals scheduled to be played at Police Sacco Stadium on Tuesday, 19th December, 2023.

Winners of the tournament sponsored by the Sakaja Foundation in partnership with the Nairobi City County government and Football Kenya Federation will win a Ksh 3 Million top prize as the runners up pocket 2 Million shillings. Third place finishers will win Ksh One million.
