Kenya family charities [KFC] a charitable organization that depends on well-wishers has held a charity walk today in Nairobi seeking to raise 15 million to generate funds to put up a rescue house for children, re-engineering their stalled projects for income generation, empower the socio economic groups for sustainability among other goals.
Speaking during the annual charity walk in Nairobi, the executive director of KFC sister Margaret maitha said they had embarked on a countrywide mission on protecting,rescuing,rehabilitating,reintergrating and following up on orphans and vulnerable children and empowering their guardians and care givers.
She said at this time of the year our beneficiaries are facing problems that the charity walk would solve. ‘we encourage groups, institutions and corporates to carry their banners with their logos and uniforms or allow KFC to use their logos in t5he partnership banner in order to sensitize the people the importance of protecting our children and the family unit from in or the streets’, Sr maitha said.
