The Michael Olunga Football Academy Football club (MOFA) returned to weekend action in the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) National Division One Zone B with an emphatic win over St. Joseph Youth Football club in a league match played in Oyugis, Homabay County.

MOFA who ensured they bag all three points on offer pipped visiting St. Joseph’s youth with a solitary goal courtesy of Joseph Bate in the 54th minute.

The two teams played out a goal-less draw in the first half before coming out guns blazing in the second term to claim the all important victory in the match as the season draws nearer to a close.

Center referee Fred Obeiro only booked a pair of players in the entire match as MOFA’s Basil Opiyo was yellow carder for holding in the 27th minute and Bashuru Constant’s reckless tackle on a MOFA player in the dying minutes of the match also saw him booked.

 In other round of 32 matches, Equity FC and Vapor FC played out a barren draw as down at the coast, Ruiru Hotstars were too hot for their hosts Malindi Progressive beating them 2-1 with goals courtesy of Karisa Robert who saw the back of the net in the 40th and 52nd minutes as Malindi progressive had their consolation from Kalvin Oduor in the 62nd minute.

Rainbow FC beat their hosts 3K FC by two goals to nil after goals from Dulwant Mustafa who beat 3K’s custodian in the 18th minute and an 83rd minute goal from Otieno Jacob.

Elsewhere, Nairobi United hammered Young Bulls 3-0courtesy of goals from Bonface Ontere in the 28th and 85th minutes and Majaliwo Charo in the 55th minute. Transfoc FC beat Sigalagala 2-0. Peter Kidiya put the hosts in front in the 40th minute before Waihenya Samuel sealed their win with a low shot in the 62nd minute to wrap the win for Transfoc.

The Matches were played with high levels of discipline been noted as the league heads into the homestretch.
